Channelled wrack spends most if its life out of the water, so is very resistant to drying out It is extremely hardy - on dry sunny days it will dry to a crisp but recovers completely when soaked in water. It grows so high that the sea may not even reach it during neap tides. High spring tides will cover it, but normally the tide won't go higher than these weeds.
