This anemone is very common on muddy and sandy seabeds. It has small central tentacles surrounded by a ring of much longer tentacles that are very sensitive to movement. If anything disturbs the water near the anemone it will react by instantly withdrawing into its tube below the surface, faster than the eye can follow.
